The fountain in the Fountain Terrace was added by the 9th
Duke and Duchess of Rutland in the 1920s. The terrace design of the
garden, typical of Renaissance gardens in England, survived the
changing styles in gardening because of Haddon Hall being ignored by
the Manner family for the 18th century.
