The fountain in the Fountain Terrace was added by the 9th Duke and Duchess of Rutland in the 1920s. The terrace design of the garden, typical of Renaissance gardens in England, survived the changing styles in gardening because of Haddon Hall being ignored by the Manner family for the 18th century.
